Santuario
Santuario, addresses the body as a space for exploration and pleasure. Through the image, Patricio Maldonado confronts us with that which is feared and censored by modesty: fluids, transforming them into a fertile element of intimacy and reappropriation of the body, but also of space. Between blood, semen and sweat, we silence disgust and shame to move towards the irreverent and the erotic. "The fluids that I once feared become part of me; I smear them on bodies, I turn them into cakes," the artist declares.
